So I just finished reading East Coast Rising, volume 1, from TokyoPop. It’s the work of Becky Cloonan, illustrator from series like Demo. I’ve been following her since back in the day on DeviantArt, when she first posted some teaser stuff for East Coast Rising, so it was a pleasant surprise to stumble across the actual completed volume at Cody’s bookstore, during their going out of business sale (RIP!).

Anyway, the story is fun, and the art is pretty damn good. It must be a really great feeling to have dreamed up a world, written and drawn about it for awhile, and then to actually realize it in a published form, so I decided to make my own little book of pics I took in Berkeley.
